10 winning questions to ask in your interview
You have just blitzed your first interview and you can tell the hiring manager is impressed. You’ve covered all their questions, made them laugh and built some excellent rapport (just as practiced!)
Now it’s time to deliver the finishing blow with some relevant questions. Here are 10 winning questions our experts recommend.
1. How do you measure success in this role?
“How the manager interprets success in the role may be quite different to the position description. It’s a great opportunity to understand what their expectations and parameters are to achieve well in the role.” – Matt Gorrie
2. Can you tell me about the team I'll be working with?
“The question is phrased with the assumption that you will get the role. It gives you some insight about the people in the team; the dynamic between them and how you would get on with them. It also shows your confidence in skills and background to obtain the role. This question will also lead into how the team interacts with the wider business.” – Risto Doneski
