Participating as an HR Mentor at GSC

We recently participated in the GSC event as an HR mentor, engaging with international founders who are exploring opportunities to establish and grow their businesses in Korea.

During the session, we had the opportunity to hold in-depth discussions on key topics such as hiring strategies, employment costs, and the regulatory landscape in Korea. These conversations highlighted the importance of understanding the local talent market and being well-prepared before making initial hiring decisions.

One of the key takeaways from the session is that hiring in Korea requires more than identifying the right talent. Companies must be ready from a legal, financial, and operational standpoint, particularly given the complexity of employment regulations and the long-term nature of hiring commitments.

For early-stage startups, we emphasized the importance of taking a structured and flexible approach to hiring—starting with scalable or alternative hiring models before transitioning to full-time employment as the business grows.

We appreciate the opportunity to contribute as an HR mentor and to support founders at a critical stage of their market entry journey.

For foreign entrepreneurs considering entering the Korean market, events like GSC provide valuable insights and access to experienced professionals, and we highly recommend participation.
